Old Dogs Picks Up 2 Awards at LA Web Fest 2012

The gay comedic web series Old Dogs & New Tricks received citations as Outstanding Dramedy and Outstanding Ensemble in a Dramedy at the 2012 LAWeb Fest Awards on Sunday, April 8.

The third annual festival screened over 175 web series from around the world over three days at the LAX Radisson, as well as presented numerous workshops and discussion panels.  Show creator/actor Leon Acord participated on two of the panels.

“I’m particularly thrilled for the Outstanding Ensemble Award,” says show creator Leon Acord, who also acts in the show.  “This show is all about this strong, wonderful ensemble of talented actors.  And Outstanding Dramedy?  Well, we owe that one to director Arvin Bautista, editor Derek Stricker, our talented cinematographers and composer Nic tenBroek.”
